In June 2026, glycine ex-works price fell on weak demand and ample supply, with little prospect of a near-term recovery; yellow phosphorus held firm at elevated levels, while the domestic glyphosate market stayed subdued under the same supply–demand pressures.
On the project front, on 26 May, the EI report on Sichuan Xinongwang's 10,000 t/a glyphosate formulation project was publicised. On 15 June, the EI report on Chaonong Hi-Tech's 's glyphosate series pesticide formulation renovation project was approved. On 22 June, Fuhua Tongda announced plans to accept the 65,000 t/a glyphosate production capacity quota from Yier Chemical. On 4 June, Jixing Chemical's 53,000 t/a yellow phosphorus technical upgrade project passed acceptance check.
Regarding corporate updates, Jiangnan Chemical officially commissioned the country's first directional conversion unit for glyphosate mother liquor; Fuhua Tongda and Tanheng Technology unveiled the "Fuhua Carbon Integrated Management Platform", as core products including glyphosate secured carbon-footprint certification from TÜV SÜD; Bayer's proposed settlement to resolve the Roundup (glyphosate-based herbicide) litigation suffered a major procedural setback.
On the regulatory side, Zhejiang Province issued implementation opinions aimed at accelerating the transformation and upgrading of its petrochemical and chemical industry; Hunan Province issued the 2026 revision of its measures on construction standards compliance and recognition management for chemical industrial parks.
In export trade, in March 2026, China's glyphosate product exports maintained their upward trajectory. The largest exporter was Hubei Trisun, and the largest destination was the United States.
