In June, the herbicide market trend was divergent, with raw material market prices mainly falling and tending to stabilize in the long term; the prices of chlor-alkali industry products fluctuated, and the prices of organic chemical raw materials fell MoM. TC market supply and demand were in a tug-of-war, with domestic demand for stockpiling and export order demand gradually being released, resulting in a slight average increase of 0.36% in TC ex-works prices on a MoM basis.
Company dynamics:
- On 10 July, 2025, the 11,100 t/a pesticide product and 8,200 t/a by-product project (MCPA and MCPA-sodium production line) of Liankai Bio was publicly displayed for phased acceptance.
- On 1 July, 2025, the EI report document acceptance announcement for Tianqi Shengye's 5,000 t/a propanil TC project was published.
- From 8 July–15 July, 2025, nine listed herbicide companies have successively released their earnings forecasts for the first half of 2025. Among them, Fengshan Group, Limin Chemical, Sino-Agri Union, Cynda Chemical, Nantong Jiangshan, and Lier Chemical all all forecast higher net profits.
Policy: On 8 July, 2025, Shandong issued the Pesticide Operation "One Thing" Implementation Plan, aiming to optimize the approval process for pesticide operation and enhance efficiency in handling affairs.
Registration: On 26 June, 106 herbicides was announced to be approved for pesticide product registration. Topramezone leads in the number of product registrations, with 1 TC, 6 single formulations and 4 mixed formulations.
Trade analysis: From Jan. to June 2025, total export volume and value of herbicide formulations from China increased by 14% and 9% YoY, respectively. In June, the export volume and value increased by 26.10% and 18.73% YoY, respectively.
