Project Progress

• The EI report for Dongxiao Bio's high-end intelligent series amino acids project was approved.
• Zhenhai NHU's 180,000 t/a methionine project passed acceptance check.
• The EI report for the Xinjiang Dongming's 100 t/a methionine pilot plant project was publicized.
• The EI report for Inner Mongolia Baike's 2,000 t/a specialty amino acids reconstruction project was accepted.

Company dynamics

• Fufeng Group eyed Brazil for 300,000 t/a amino acid project.
• Star Lake Science expanded speciality amino acids to drive new profit growth.
• Huaheng Biotechnology saw profitability decline as temporary.
• Bulk amino acid overcapacity and low prices forced Chinese producers to seek new paths.

Price update

In June 2026, lysine prices continued to decline, with 70% lysine down 5.42% MoM and 98.5% lysine down 12.12%.

Import and export.

In May 2026, China's methionine export volumes declined, while both export value and the average export price rose.
