In August, the market for fungicides TC remained at a low level, with the prices of most TC showing a downward trend. The prices of main raw materials for fungicides generally increased, while the prices of some chemical raw materials fluctuated widely.
On the company front, on 8 August, 2025, the environmental protection acceptance monitoring report for Shensheng Agrochemical's 700 t/a environmentally- friendly ethylicin project was published. On 11 August, 2025, Jiangsu Changqing announced that it will terminate the 3,500 t/a glufosinate-ammonium TC project and instead invest in the construction of 1,000 t/a prothioconazole and 4,200 t/a pyrethroid projects.
In policy news, on 26 July, 2025, CCPIA issued a notice regarding the launch of the "Market Rectification and Anti-Involution Campaign'' initiative in the pesticide industry, aimed at improving market order, enhancing product quality, and strengthening industry compliance awareness.
Regarding registration, on 29 July, ICAMA publicised the 8th–9th batches pesticides that it had planned to approve of registration, which includes 138 fungicide products, with the majority being SC formulations. Popular active ingredients of these fungicide products are fluopyram, tebuconazole, pyraclostrobin, fludioxonil, azoxystrobin, prothioconazole and benziothiazolinone.
As to disease, on 1 August, 2025, the National Agro-Tech Extension and Service Center issued an alert on the current status and forecast of major corn pests and diseases, warning that southern corn rust is expected to present a moderate-to-severe epidemic risk across the Huang-Huai-Hai region. on July 29, 2025, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of Guangdong Province released a forecast for the trend of crop diseases and pests in the province for the second half of 2025, predicting that the area affected by crop diseases in the province for the second half of this year will be approximately 1.6133 million hectares.
In trade, in July 2025, exports of China's fungicide formulations reached 26,455.87 tonnes, up 21.36% YoY, with the export value rising by 14.75% YoY to USD115.8 million, and the average export price decreased by 5.44% YoY.
