Governmental Direction

• The China Nutrition Society recently hosted a meeting in Beijing to argue for the inclusion of new nutritional substances in the health food filing catalogue. The meeting focused on inulin, oligofructose and resistant dextrin, and marked the improvement of China's health food filing management system.
• The draft revision of GB 25533-2010, "National Food Safety Standard—Food Additives (Pectin)", was publicised for public consultation on 1 Aug.
