In terms of market analysis, in early June, the ex-works prices of most of China's fungicide TC remained on the slide. Given the plunging prices of raw materials and insufficient market demand and trade volume, it is expected that the ex-works prices of fungicide TC would see a slight decrease in July.

In terms of company dynamics, to date, the construction of the 3,000 fosetyl-aluminium TC projects of Shandong Dacheng have been completed. In late May, Luodong Biotechnology, the wholly-owned subsidiary of Zhejiang DongFeng, planned to construct the 1,450 t/a pesticide TC and 3,550 t/a pesticide formulation project, including production lines for 300 t/a thiosen copper TC, 200 t/a azoxystrobin TC etc. On 7 June,  Qingdao Hailir announced that the 40,000 t/a agrochemical TC and intermediates projects of Qingdao Hengning have started the trial production.

In terms of policy, seeking to reinforce the regulations concerning the registration of new chemicals and discharge of new pollutants, the State Council issued the Action Plan for Addressing New Pollutants on 24 May.On 31 May, the Leading Group Office of Advancing the Development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt of Hunan Province issued the Action Plan of Addressing Chemical Pollutants along the Yangtze River Economic Belt in Hunan Province During the 14 Five-Year Plan Period (2021-2025) (the Plan). On 15 June, Anhui Province issued the Measures for the Administration of Chemical Pilot Bases and Pilot Projects in Anhui Province (trial). 

In terms of registration, In mid-June, 2022, the Institute for the Control of Agrochemicals, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs (ICAMA) publicised 11 newly-registered fungicide products.

In terms of pests and diseases, on 24 May, China held the 2022 National Meeting on Early Rice Pests & Diseases Occurrence Trend online, estimating early rice pests and diseases to be heavy this year.
