In Oct., the price of LiPF₆ rose again due to strong market demand and tight supply.

Lithium manganate prices rose this month. Due to the rising price of lithium salts, the cost of lithium manganate also rose at the same time, resulting in an increase in the quotation and transaction of lithium manganate by most manufacturers. The price of lithium manganatet is expected to continue to rise slightly with the rising cost of raw materials.

In Sept. 2022, China's installed capacity of power battery was 31.6 GWh, a YoY increase of 101.6% and a MoM increase of 14.0%.

Major Market Dynamics:

On 17 Oct., 2022, Henan Yicheng New Energy Co., Ltd. announced that the company intends to acquire the equity of two anode material technology companies for USD47.05 million (RMB334.00 million).

On 13 Oct., Shinghwa Advanced Material Group Co., Ltd. announced that it plans to build 100,000 t/a liquid LiPF₆ and to terminate the construction of 5,000 t/a LiPF₆ project (phase II) approved in 2015.

On 30 Sept., 2022, Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Ltd. increased its investment to CMOC and became CMOC Group Limited's second largest shareholder, which will further improve the company's li-ion battery industry chain.

On 29 Sept., 2022, Guocheng Mining Co., Ltd., Tiannai Jincheng Material Technology Co., Ltd. and Jinsheng Tiancheng Material Technology Co., Ltd. set up two joint ventures, which are engaged in LFP, lithium manganese iron phosphate new cathode materials and li-ion battery cathode material precursor business respectively.
