Major market dynamics

• On 22 July, the EI report for Yichang General Lithium New-material Co., Ltd.'s 80,000 t/a lithium dihydrogen phosphate project was publicised.
• On 17 July, Zangge Mining Company Limited announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Geermu Zangge Potash Co., Ltd., received a notice from the Haixi State Natural Resources Bureau and the Haixi State Salt Lake Administration on 16 July, 2025, titled "Notice on Ordering an Immediate Halt to Lithium Resource Development and Utilization Activities".
• On 8 July, the EI report of the reconstruction/renovation and expansion project of Hunan Fabang New Materials Co., Ltd., aiming for a production capacity of 10,000 t/a LiFSI, was publicly displayed on the local governmental webiste.
• On 2 July, Shida Shinghwa Advanced Material Group Co., Ltd. expects its net profit to drop YoY by 236.64% to 257.66% in H1 2025, mainly due to product price declines leading to losses. Electrolyte prices were weak in H1 2025, leaving the industry in a downturn. Demand in the lithium-battery sector is uncertain for H2 2025, and material manufacturers may still encounter operational pressures.
