Welcome to the October issue of Sorbitol China News

There are project updates: Tianli Pharma's 25,000 t/a crystalline sorbitol and upgrading and automating of alcoholisation system project is expected to enter the commissioning phase soon; Xiangrui Pharma's 300,000 t/a sorbitol syrup (70％DS) project has been put on record.

Regarding company dynamics, Huanfa Biotechnology makes the Top 100 companies in Zhaoqing City for 2022, ranking 20th.

In terms of the downstream sectors, Domy Chemical's toothpaste, liquid cleaning products and cream production project (Draft for Review) was disclosed to the public on 27 Sept. The construction of this project started in Sept. 2020 and is expected to be completed in Dec. 2022

As for the market dynamics, Huakang Pharma said at the 2022 semi-annual performance briefing that China's functional sugar alcohol market is expected to expand further in the future;

In the export market, in Aug. 2022, China exported a total of 19,424.82 tonnes of sorbitol to 51 countries and regions, amounting to USD14,848,159.
