In June 2025, domestic TiO2 companies continued to operate under pressure. On one hand, the price of sulphuric acid remained high across various regions, leading to significant cost pressure for factories that is hard to alleviate. On the other hand, domestic and foreign trade demands continued to be weak, making it difficult for manufacturers to sell their products.

Entering the wet season/flood season, with the decrease in electricity costs in Yunnan Province, the operating rates of local Titanium slag factories have slightly recovered. However, the continued weak demand downstream, coupled with the low selling prices of manufacturers, has led to a lack of enthusiasm for factory operations.

In the Panxi Area, the exercise price of titanium concentrate was somewhat chaotic. Local miners were reluctant to markdown significantly due to high cost of middling, but downstream titanium dioxide enterprises continued to bargain due to the high price of sulphuric acid, resulting in a stalemate in market transactions and relatively quiet overall trading.
