Governmental Direction

In early Jan. 2025, MARA released the Opinions on Implementing the Grain-Saving Action in the Breeding Industry, aiming to promote grain-saving and consumption reduction as a means to reduce costs and increase efficiency in the breeding industry, and to promote high-quality development of the breeding industry.

Price

In Jan. 2025, methionine prices were generally stable, with a slight increase in the middle of Jan. as domestic corn prices have shown a low-level rebound trend recently.

Import and Export

In Dec. 2024, China's lysine ester and salt export volume edged up MoM while import volume fell by nearly 100% MoM. In 2024, domestic lysine ester and salt export volume exceeded 1.11 million tonnes, increasing by over 15% YoY.
