Major market dynamics

• On 13 May, 2025, the environmental impact report for the construction project of new lithium-ion batteries (cylindrical batteries) by Murata Energy Device Wuxi Co., Ltd. was publicised.
• On 13 May, 2025, Huizhou BTR New Material Technology Co., Ltd. publicly disclosed the environmental impact report information for its 80,000 t/a lithium-battery anode expansion project for the first time.
• On 12 May, 2025, Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Ltd. listed in Hong Kong and raised over 5 billion US dollars, making it the world's largest IPO of the year. This will promote its project construction in Hungary and enhance its international competitiveness.
• On 9 May, 2025, Jiangsu Lopal Tech. Co., Ltd. has signed a cooperation agreement with Cornex to supply 150,000 tonnes of LFP cathode materials from 2025 to 2029, with the contract value exceeding USD694.37 million (RMB5.00 billion).
• On 7 May, 2025, Jiangxi Shilei Fluorine Materials Co., Ltd. invested USD4.17 million (RMB30.00 million) to conduct a technical transformation and expansion of its 9,000 t/a LiPF₆ production line, after which the total LiPF₆ capacity of the entire plant will reach 24,000 t/a.
