The fungicide TC market remained fairly stable, with most product prices either holding steady from the previous month or seeing a slight increase. This stability occurred despite rising prices for most major raw materials, driven by a rebound in market demand.

On the company front, Shandong Dongsheng's green high-efficacy pesticide TC and liquid formulations project was accepted, which will add production capacity for 600 t/a metrafenone, 2,000 t/a fluxapyroxad, and 600 t/a pydiflumetofen. Hubei Shengkang's 3,500 t/a special chemicals project was accepted, including building capacity for five fungicides. Guangdong Guangkang's pesticide product optimisation and technological upgrading project was accepted, which plans capacity for 500 t/a 2-(2,4-dichlorophenyl)-3-(1H-1,2,4-triazol-1-yl)propan-1-ol, 200 t/a perchloromethyl mercaptan, 100 t/a chloridazon, 10 t/a metamitron, and 10 t/a chlorantraniliprole. Shandong Jingbo Agrochem released environmental impact reports for two projects, concerning production capacity for 200 t/a chloroinconazide and 1,000 t/a boscalid.

In policy news, Jiangxi Province unveiled the Opinions on Regulating the Recycling and Disposal of Pesticide Packaging Waste, aiming to protect ecological environment from pollution caused by discarded pesticide packaging.

Regarding registration, ICAMA announced the 10th batch of pesticide registrations, including 43 fungicide products, primarily SC formulations.

As to disease, Guangxi reported pest and disease conditions in late rice crops during the early to mid-stage, indicating that infestations were generally moderate, though some areas experienced higher-than-average levels.

In trade, China's fungicide formulation exports increased to 20,979.29 tonnes in Sept. 2024, with the export value rose by 4.81% YoY to USD102.68 million, despite a 1.34% YoY drop in average price.
