In Dec. 2022, prices of major fluorochemical products continued to be mixed. Specifically, fluorite prices edged up and then maintained stability under weak supply and demand. AHF prices remained stable and downstream demand weakened. AlF₃ market prices showed an upward trend for support of cost, supply and demand. A few transactions were made in R22 market and R22 prices kept steady at a low level. Prices of fluoropolymers went down as demand was sluggish and costs dropped.

Important market dynamics in Dec. 2022

On 19 Dec., 2022, Shandong Kaisheng New Materials Co., Ltd. announced to build a 10,000 t/a LiFSI project.

On 14 Dec., 2022, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment of the People's Republic of China publicised a notice, showing that the total production quota and the consumption quota of HCFCs for 2023 is 214,814 tonnes and 26,273 tonnes respectively.

On 8 Dec., 2022, Ningbo Shanshan Co., Ltd. intended to transfer 51% shares of Quzhou Shanshan to spin off its li-ion battery electrolyte and LiPF₆ businesses.

On 7 Dec., 2022, Zhejiang Yonghe Refrigerant Co., Ltd. announced to purchase 100% shares of Jiangxi Shilei Fluorochemical Co., Ltd. to ensure stable supply of raw materials of the company.
