• The EI report for Herun Biotechnology's Tianjin pilot R&D center project was announced to be approved.
• Tianbao Animal Nutrition's feed-grade methionine hydroxy analog project passed acceptance check.

Governmental Direction

MARA delivered an analysis of China's feed-industry landscape and outlook at a round-table forum; MARA issued a series of plans to cut feed use and curb grain losses, thereby lowering livestock, poultry and aquaculture costs, safeguarding food security, and ensuring stable supplies of animal protein and aquatic products.

Price

In Aug. 2025, the price of 70% lysine fell by 5.5% MoM; the price of 98.5% lysine dropped by 7.52% MoM; the upstream hog market price declined.

Import and Export

In July 2025, affected by the maintenance period and the decreased demand for downstream feed market, the import volume of methionine increased by 0.75% MoM, while the export volume decreased by 5.02% MoM.
