In Feb., 2025, there have been the latest developments in amino acids-related patents between Medixi and Star Lake Bioscience. Meanwhile, Weixinkang announced that two of its subsidiaries obtained the drug registration certificates for compound amino acids injection and acetylcysteine solution for inhalation.

Governmental Direction

By the end of Jan. to early Feb. 2025, the European Union approved L-isoleucine, L-Threonine, and L-Tryptophan as feed additives for all animals.

Price

In Feb. 2025, prices of 98.5% lysine dropped MoM and prices of 70% lysine inched down by MoM as downstream customers were less enthusiastic about purchasing.

Import and Export

In Jan.–Dec. 2024, China's import volume of methionine edged down by 2.17% YoY, with the import value climbing by 8.52% YoY; domestic export volume of methionine went up by 68.51% YoY, with the export value increasing by 86.08% YoY.
