In October, insecticide market prices were mixed, with the majority stabilising and a slight MoM increase in TC ex-works prices. Notably, abamectin TC ex-works prices rose by 2.21%, emamectin benzoate TC rose by 1.62%, imidacloprid TC rose by 0.69%, acetamiprid TC rose by 1.39%, chlorpyrifos TC rose by 0.82%, and cypermethrin TC fell by 2.99%. Meanwhile, spirodiclofen TC fell by 1.41% MoM. The rest of the products remained stable. On the trade front, insecticide export volumes rose by 5.48% YoY in September 2024.

Enterprise dynamics: Hebei Yetian is proposing to expand its production capacity, with plans to construct a 3,000 t/a acetamiprid technical expansion project and 10,000 t/a acetamiprid technical expansion project; EIA of 2,000 t/a indoxacarb and ancillary project of Jingbo Agrochem is announced.

Policy: The website of the Jiangsu Provincial People's Government released an update on the "equipment guarantee" policy on 27 October. The policy to help Changqing Shares equipment renewal, reduce financing costs, and promote enterprise development.

Registrations: ICAMA announced the 10th batch of planned registrations for pesticide products, including 105 insecticides. Most of these insecticides are low toxicity, with the majority in SC.

Pests: Guangxi has reported a generally moderate occurrence of insect pests in the middle and early stages of late rice, with some areas experiencing moderately heavy occurrences. Meanwhile, Zhejiang has released its report on the occurrence of insect pests in late rice, along with a trend analysis.
