• Sanyuan Biology plans to extend its presence in the retail end and strengthen its R&D capabilities and its net profit in Q3 slumped by 80% YoY.
• Q3 report: Layn's net profit in Q1–Q3 is expected to rise 90%–130% YoY; Huakang Pharma's Q3 net profit surged over 60% YoY.

• Shandong Fukuan's 30,000 t/a psicose project starts construction.
• Xiangchi Jianyuan's 20,000 t/a erythritol project is expected to reach the designed capacity at the end of the year.
• Shanghai Runloy signed a cooperation agreement with the local government for the 100,000 t/a polydextrose project.

Price update: 

In Oct., China's ex-works prices of HFCS and sucralose declined.

Import & Export analysis:

In Aug., China's export volumes of saccharin, cyclamate, mannitol and corn starch decreased.
