Regarding company performance, three companies related to the sorbitol industry chain, Huakang Pharma, LMZ and Yunnan Baiyao, released their reports for Q3 2022.
As for the market dynamics, Qinhuangdao City is able to process 1.95 million t/a of corn, mainly producing corn starch, glucose and sorbitol. Lihua Starch is one of the leading companies in the city.
There are project updates: Jinyu Kangyuan launched a project to produce synthetic sorbitol and refined sorbitol; Qiakenao Food initiated a pastry production project using sorbitol as one of the raw materials.
In terms of company dynamics, CSRC gave feedback on Dencare's IPO application; Jiudian Hongyang's pharmaceutical-grade sorbitol was approved for CDE registration.
In the export market, in Sept. 2022, China exported a total of 14,658.71 tonnes of sorbitol to 48 countries and regions, amounting to USD11,359,072.
