Yellow phosphorus prices dropped dramatically as operating rates of downstream sector were low and yellow phosphorus supply exceeded demand.

Ammonium phosphate prices increased slightly under the cost and supply support as the winter storage market has not fully started yet.

In Nov. 2022, China produced around 9.51 million tonnes of phosphorus ore (30% P₂O₅), down by 3.0% YoY. In Jan.–Nov. 2022, China altogether produced 95.00 million tonnes, up by 2.3% YoY.

On 17 Nov., 2022, Yunnan Yuntianhua Co., Ltd. planned to raise capital of no more than USD693.66 million for the project of FePO₄ battery new material precursor and the battery new material precursor equipment.

On 14 Nov., 2022, Hubei Yihua Chemical Industry Co., Ltd. subsidiary planned to build a project of 200,000 t/a refined PA and 650,000 t/a ammonium phosphate and the environmental information of this project was publicised for the first time.

On 10 Nov., 2022, Hubei Wanrun New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. establish integrated industrial chain material project covering LiFePO₄, FePO₄, phosphate, PA, and phosphorus ore with the people's government of Fang County and Baokang County respectively.

On 31 Oct., 2022, Tsaker New Energy Tech Co., Ltd.'s 50,000 t/a FePO₄ production line began trial production successively and the company's FePO₄ capacity is predicted to reach 190,000 t/a by late 2023.
