China's TiO₂ enterprises mainly dealt with orders of earlier stage and their quotations scarcely changed in Dec. 2022. Some downstream customers still placed orders for replenishment and the foreign trade market performed well as the Chinese New Year (late Jan. 2023) approaches.

Most new orders of high titanium slag were delayed in the first half of Dec. and the delivery time of these orders remained uncertain. High titanium slag manufacturers mainly processed long-term orders in the second half of this month. Ilmenite market remained stable in Dec. Domestic TiCl₄ prices scarcely fluctuated in Dec. 2022.

Important market dynamics in Dec. 2022

On 8 Dec., 2022, Sichuan Anning Iron and Titanium Co., Ltd. announced to suspend its vanadic titanomagnetite efficient clean separation and extraction demonstration project; its vanadic titanomagnetite quality improving and efficiency enhancing project will be delayed.

On 7 Dec., 2022, LB Group Co., Ltd. released several announcements, showing that the company planned to purchase 100% shares of Chaoyang Orient Zirconic New Material Co., Ltd.; LB Group's subsidiary planned to set up a new company, which will purchase ilmenite beneficiation plant and related assets.

In late Nov. 2022, Malion New Materials Co., Ltd. announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary planned to build a 2.30 million t/a new energy and polymer material industrialisation project.
