In July, the prices of main raw materials for fungicides generally declined, while the prices of some chemical raw materials fluctuated widely; the market for fungicides TC remained at a low level, with the prices of most TC showing a downward trend.
On the company front, Limin Chemical invested USD6.99 million (RMB50.00 million) in the reconstruction of a 100 t/a fluopyram TC project; Shandong A&Fine Agrochemicals Beihai Branch's 2,000 t/a upgrade project for 2-(bromomethyl)-2-[2-chloro-4-(4-chlorophenoxy)phenyl]-4-methyl-1,3-dioxolane was reviewed; Six Chinese agrochemical firms issued 2025 H1 performance forecasts, among which Suli, Limin Chemical, and Sino-Agri Union reported higher net and underlying profits YoY.
In policy news, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of Heilongjiang Province issued the Implementation Plan for the Crop Pest and Disease Control Project in 2025, aiming to scientifically prevent and control major crop pest and disease outbreaks, and promote the scientific, safe, and efficient use of pesticides.
Regarding registration, ICAMA publicised the 7th-batch pesticides that it had planned to approve of registration, which includes 71 fungicide products, with the majority being SC formulations. Popular active ingredients of these fungicide products are pyraclostrobin, tebuconazole, epoxiconazole, trifloxystrobin, metalaxyl-M, and oxine-copper.
As to disease, the Hunan Province Plant Protection and Quarantine Information Network released the forecast for the occurrence trend of diseases and pests on major economic crops in Hunan Province for H2 2025, predicting that the overall occurrence of diseases on economic crops in the province will be moderate in H2 2025; the Heilongjiang Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs released a forecast for corn northern leaf blight. The disease is expected to be generally light across the province, though localized areas planted with susceptible cultivars or showing late-season nutrient stress could reach moderate to severe levels.
In trade, exports of China's fungicide formulations reached 28,414.54 tonnes, up 41.09% YoY, with the export value rising by 60.86% YoY to USD132.34 million, and the average export price increased by 14.02% YoY in June.
