Welcome to the Jan. issue of Sorbitol China News

There are two project updates: Huakang Pharma's 50,000 t/a crystalline sorbitol production line has been officially put into production; Henan Yusweet's 140,000 t/a functional sugar alcohol project (re-approval) was publicised on an environmental platform.

Regarding downstream sectors, Guangdong Kanghejian's health food construction project has been completed; Jinlin Yipu's pharmaceutical production project (amendment) post-completion environmental protection acceptance inspection monitoring report form and acceptance opinions are being publicized.

In the export market, in Dec. 2024, China exported sorbitol to 71 countries and regions totalled 21,363.10 tonnes, which increased by 1.61% MoM, and the export value decreased by 4.50% MoM to USD15,404,769.

In this monthly report, the USD/CNY exchange rate is USD1.00=CNY7.1879 (Source: The People's Bank of China, 2 Jan., 2025). Unless otherwise stated, all prices involved in this report include VAT.
