Lithium manganate prices recently remained high owing to growing lithium salt prices, resulting in flat market demand. Small power, digital, and other downstream industries had weak purchase intentions due to the high pricing, which led to few market transactions. Lithium manganate prices are anticipated to be steady in the short term.
In Oct. 2022, China's installed capacity of power battery was 30.5 GWh, a YoY increase of 98.1% and a MoM increase of 3.5%. From Jan.–Oct. 2022, China's total installed capacity of power battery was 224.2 GWh, a cumulative growth of 108.7% over last year.

On 16 Nov., Jiangsu HSC New Energy Materials Co., Ltd. signed an Investment Framework Agreement with the Management Committee of Jiangyin High-Tech Industrial Development Zone, proposing to create a JV with its holding subsidiary Suzhou Highwin New Energy Materials Technology Co., Ltd. for investing in the construction of a 200,000 t/a low-energy consumption high-performance Li-ion battery anode materials project there.
On 4 Nov., Golmud Wanli New Energy Co., Ltd. proposed to invest in the building of a 5,000 t/a battery-grade lithium carbonate production line.
On 4 Nov., CNGR Advanced Material Co., Ltd. entered into a Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement with Sunwoda Electronic Co., Ltd., in which the two parties have agreed to make full use of their respective capital, resources, and technology advantages to have all-round cooperation across the industrial chain of the new energy materials industry worldwide.
On 1 Nov., Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Ltd. increased its holdings in Zhicun Lithium Industry Group Co., Ltd. and bought into Luoyang Mining Group Company Limited to accelerate its arrangement of battery raw materials.
