In June, the herbicide market trend was divergent, with raw material market prices mainly falling and tending to stabilize in the long term; the prices of chlor-alkali industry products fluctuated, and the prices of organic chemical raw materials fell MoM. TC market supply and demand were in a tug-of-war, with domestic demand for stockpiling and export order demand gradually being released, resulting in a slight average increase of 0.36% in TC ex-works prices on a MoM basis.

Company dynamics:

• On 29 May, 2025, the EI report for Jiangsu Youjia's 100 t/a indaziflam TC project was accepted.
• On 13 June, 2025, Red Sun's stock name changed from "ST Red Sun" to "Red Sun", which signifies the company successfully removes its special designation, ending the status of other risk warnings.
• On 19 June, 2025, the EI report for the Hubei Jixing's 150 t/a sulfentrazone process technology development project was published, with an expected construction period of six months.

Policy: On 28 May, 2025, the MARA of China issued a notice proposing four new requirements for the labelling of pesticide labels and instructions, which involve TC traceability, trademark standards, GM crops, and adjuvant labelling, etc.

Registration: On 29 May, 124 herbicides was announced to be approved for pesticide product registration. Atrazine leads in the number of product registrations, with 10 mixed formulations.

Trade analysis: From Jan. to May 2025, China's cumulative export volume of herbicide formulations increased by 11% YoY, and the total export value grew by 7% YoY. In May, the export volume rose by 20.37% YoY, with export value up by 15.93% YoY.
