| Three
Technologies for Sugar Derivatives Broke Through

| Guangxi
University Food & Fermentation Research Institute has developed three technologies
for the deep processing of sugar. They are 1) Technoogy of sugar oligosaccharide.
This technology has been employed in Guangxi Liuzhou Fengshan Sugar Factory.
2) The technology to make itaconic acid by fermentation of sugar. This technology
has passed appraisal from local government. 3) The technology to make microbial
polysaccharide. The pilot production began in Guangxi University. These
three technologies has broaden the ways for sugar in Guangxi, which is a

| Crystalline
Sorbitol in Nanning Passed Appraisal (Last update:

| The project
of injection grade crystalline sorbitol has passed the appraisal from concerning
authorities in July. This technology is developed by Nanning Chemical Research
& Design Institute, Guangxi Nanning Chemical & Pharmaceutical Co. Ltd. All
the equipments are made in China. The total production capacity of sorbitol

Additive Supplement Items Published (Last update:

| State Ministry
of Sanitation published Food Additive Sanitation Standard for Supplement
Species recently. The standard of supplement food additive items refer to
those newly applied food additives and those food additives whose application
range are widened. Among the standard for supplement species, 6 are pertaining
to newly applied food additive including L-lactate calcium and erythritol,
42 are pertaining to species whose application ranges are enlarged, and
