Description:

Since 2000 domestic ethanolamines industry developed rapidly. But at present China still imports plenty of ethanolamines from foreign countries to safe domestic demand. The report provides the latest info about the production, import & export, price, consumption, technology, etc. The report also discusses the antidumping issue, key factors and driven forces, and then conducts the future forecast. The product scope includes MEA, DEA and TEA.

Executive Summary

(Note: The following summary is based on the situation in 2007 and maybe different to what it is nowadays. Please be noted.)

- Production situation

Since 2000 domestic ethanolamines industry developed rapidly in recent years with average annual growth rate of xxx% in 2000-2006. By April 2007 there are xxx active ethanolamines producers in China, with the capacity of xxxxt/a. The actual output of ethanolamines was xxxx tonnes in 2006, nearly three times as much as that in 2002.

……..

In 2006 xxx domestic manufacturers produce MEA, DEA and TEA including ……. The other xx producers are unit producers of TEA, and the capacity of TEA in them is xxxxt/a.

…………

- Import & Export situation

China is a large consumer of ethanolamines, while domestic supply of ethanolamines can’t meet the demand, and large quantities of ethanolamines are needed to be imported. The import quantity of ethanolamines has kept increasing in the past several years especially after 2002.
…………

Compared with the import quantity of ethanolamines, the export quantity of ethanolamines in China is little. The export quantity in recent few years changed a little, and it kept less than xxxxt/a from 2000 to 2006.

- Consumption situation

Ethanolamines are mainly consumed in the following fields including medicine and agrochemicals, surfactant, gas purification, polyurethane, metal cleaning, textile and rubber ingredients and so on. Medicine and agrochemicals is the largest consumption field of ethanolamines in China, and it consumed about xxxx tonnes of ethanolamines in 2006 accounting for xxx% of total consumption volume in China.

……………

- Production technology

The domestic production technology of ethanolamines hasn’t changed much recently. Currently three kinds of production technology are adopted, and they are listed as follows:
