Description:
This report penetrates into the Chinese ethanolamines industry, and discloses the market and production of ethanolamines in China, focusing on the products of MEA, DEA and TEA. China's ethanolamines output has been growing rapidly in recent years, but its output still can not meet the domestic demand, driven by the soaring demand from its downstream industries, such as glyphosate & PMIDA. China, as the major supplier of glyphosate & PMIDA in the world has witnessed the explosion of glyphosate & PMIDA production expansion recently. In 2007, about 35.6% glyphosate & PMIDA in China was produced with ethanolamines as the raw material, and those producers are not running with full operation rate, mainly because of the supply shortage of the raw material, ethanolamines.
China's ethanolamines market now faces a number of questions. What is the competition situation of Chinese ethanolamines industry? Who are strong players in China's ethanolamines production? What are the key factors affecting the Chinese ethanolamines industry? What is the trend of Chinese ethanolamines in near future?
This report also analyzes the import and export situation. The domestic demand volume is also estimated according to the development trend of ethanolamines' downstream industries. This report also answers the questions as follows: What is the import volume and value of ethanolamines into China? What is the price of ethanolamines? Which provinces are the largest consumers?
This report also discusses the key factors and driven forces, and then conducts the future forecast for the years of 2008~2013.

(Note: The following summary is based on the situation in 2008 and maybe different to what it is nowadays. Please be noted.)
- Production situation
Since 2000, domestic ethanolamines industry has developed rapidly in recent years with CAGR of xxx% in 2000-2007. By April 2008, there are six active ethanolamines producers in China, with the total capacity of xxxxt/a. The actual output of ethanolamines was xxxx tonnes in 2007, nearly three times as much as that in 2003.
Fushun Beifang, the largest ethanolamines producer in China, is expected to have its ethanolamines capacity up to xxxxt/a in 2009.
………..
- Import & Export situation
China is a large consumer of ethanolamines, while domestic supply of ethanolamines can’t meet the demand, and large quantities of ethanolamines are needed to be imported, the market share of import ethanolamines reached xxx% in 2007. The import quantity of ethanolamines has kept increasing in the past several years especially after 2002 with CAGR of xxx%.
Malaysia is the top import origin of ethanolamines in 2007, and the following top import origins were Taiwan, Japan, Germany, Belgium, USA, Korea, Russia and Mexico.
…………
- Consumption situation
In China, ethanolamines are mainly consumed in the following fields including agrochemicals surfactant, medicine, gas purification, polyurethane, metal cleaning, and textile and rubber ingredients and so on. Agrochemical industry is the industry that consumes ethanolamines most in China, and it consumed about xxxx tonnes of ethanolamines in 2007, accounting for xxx% of total ethanolamines consumption volume in China.
……..
- Forecast
Along with the rapid development of downstream industries such as agrochemicals, medicine, polyurethane and textile industries and so on, Chinese ethanolamines industry will maintain a rapid growth trend in the future. It is estimated that output of ethanolamines in China will increase at the CAGR of nearly xxx% in the coming five years. Up to 2013, the total output in China is estimated to total about xxxx tonnes.
