Description:

 

Acetophenone is the intermediate of pharmaceuticals and flavors. It was once a hot items in China in the end 1990s. There were once over 20 producers engaged in this business in China.

But since 2000s, the production volume in China has been shrinking. One of the main reason maybe attributed to the weak demand for it. Another reason is the weak competitiveness of Chinese technology then the production cost.

The decrement of the producers in China leads to the result that the current situation is quite different to what it was in the end 1990s. Some of once big producers had to quick the acetophenone market consecutively, including Wuhan Dongfeng and Guangzhou Yilian.

This survey is compiled in order to reflect the recent change and the current situations. The manufacturers of both the active ones and the idled ones have been introduced. And the import & export situation of acetophenone in 2001 and 2002 have been summarized.

The import quantity of acetophenone in 2001 and 2002 is 518MTs and 469MTs, respectively; While the export quantity of acetophenone in 2001 and 2002 is 360MTs and 208MTs, respectively.

 

Apart from flavor, acetophenone is also used to make pharmaceuticals.
