Description:

China is a big agricultural country and the biggest user of chemical fertiliser, owning 7% of the world's arable land, while consuming 35% fertilisers of the world total.

Currently, China’s traditional fertilisers suffer overcapacity. Furthermore, serious environmental regulations in China have increased production cost in fertiliser production these years. And it’s worthy to note that downstream demand for fertilisers may come down because of the Proposal to Take Actions to Achieve Zero Growth in Fertiliser Use by 2020, which was unveiled by the Ministry of Agriculture of the People’s Republic of China.

Fortunately, the tariff policies which are increasingly favorable for the export of compound fertilisers had been issued in recent years. In 2017, the Chinese administration issued the “zero tariffs” policy on part of the fertilisers, which was a move intending to get the business out of trouble. This policy will continue in 2018, so as to manage the conflict brought by the full-year production and the seasonal demand.

Traditional fertiliser suppliers will have more opportunities in overseas market. And in domestic sales, specialty fertilisers which are high value-added fertilisers will become popular. In order to find more commercial opportunities on specialty fertiliser, CCM has done deep research on the following aspects:

1. Market size, growth rate, capacity situation and forecast on the NPK fertiliser and water-soluble fertiliser (WSF) industry in China, 2013–H1 2015.
2. Capacity and output of raw material for NPK fertiliser and WSF of major players in China, 2013–H1 2015.
3. Market information of WSF, control released and other specialty fertilisers, including major brands, price level, industry profitability and market dynamic.
4. Marker drivers, restrains and trend of fertiliser industry of China.
5. Information for five major specialty fertiliser players in China.
