Inner Mongolia Longkun to build thiamethoxam TC and pymetrozine TC capacity

      Summary: In late June, Inner Mongolia Longkun filed a record of 3,100 t/a pesticides & intermediates technological transformation project at local government. This project will build capacity of 1,000 t/a thiamethoxam TC, 1,000 t/a pymetrozine TC, 500 t/a climbazole, 500 t/a sec-butylurea, 100 t/a piroctone oleamine.     

    

      
    

  
  

    
  

  

    In late June, Inner Mongolia Longkun Chemical Co., Ltd. (Inner Mongolia Longkun) filed a record of 3,100 t/a pesticides & intermediates technological transformation project at local government. This project will transform some existing production equipment into production lines of 1,000 t/a thiamethoxam TC, 1,000 t/a pymetrozine TC, 500 t/a climbazole, 500 t/a sec-butylurea and 100 t/a piroctone oleamine. Total investment for the project is USD12.52 million (RMB83.71 million) and the planned construction period is from Aug. 2022 to Dec. 2023.     

  

        

  

    In addition, Inner Mongolia Longkun is actively pushing forward with the project of 2,000 t/a 2-chloro-5-chloromethylthiazole and 3,000 t/a 4-hydroxybenzaldehyde, which is equally divided into two phases. 2-Chloro-5-chloromethylthiazole is an intermediate essential to synthesis of second-generation neonicotinoid insecticides like thiamethoxam, thiacloprid, imidaclothiz.
