Vice Minister Yu Xinrong Meets Minister of Agriculture and Livestock of El Salvador

Vice Minister Yu Xinrong met with Pablo Salvador Anliker Infante, Minister of Agriculture and Livestock of the Republic of El Salvador, in Beijing on December 3, 2019. Both sides exchanged views on strengthening practical agricultural cooperation between China and El Salvador.

 

Vice Minister Yu stated that great progress has been made in bilateral economic cooperation since the establishment of the diplomatic ties. Agriculture is the foundation of economy and agricultural modernization represents the top priority of agricultural development. The two sides enjoy broad prospects for agricultural cooperation. China is willing to work with El Salvador to advance research in aquaculture, tropical agriculture and coffee plantation, conduct technical training and personnel exchanges, and facilitate agricultural trade, thus promoting sustainable agricultural development in both countries.

  

Pablo Anliker stated that El Salvador attaches great importance to cooperation with China in various sectors of agriculture and expressed his willingness to maintain close contacts with China and expand areas of cooperation to promote agricultural development.
