Vice Minister Qu Dongyu attended and addressed the Launching Ceremony of China-US Demonstration Farm at the Liudaohe Village of Hushiha Town, Luanping County, Hebei Province on 23 Sept. 2017.

He was joined by Secretary of Hebei Provincial CPC Committee Zhao Kezhi, Vice Governor of Hebei Province Wang Xiaodong, US Ambassador to China Terry Branstad, a former governor of the US State of Iowa, and friends from Iowa at the Launching Ceremony.

Vice Minister Qu noted that province-state cooperation features prominently in the steadily advancing China-US agricultural cooperation. As an important initiative to implement the consensus between Chinese President Xi Jinping and US President Donald Trump in April 2017, the Demonstration Farm is of great significance to enrich bilateral agricultural cooperation and increase exchanges between Hebei Province and the State of Iowa. The MOA will support Hebei Province and Iowa in developing the Demonstration Farm, create new bonds of peace, friendship and shared prosperity and deliver tangible benefits to the two peoples.

Vice Minister Qu listened to the introduction of the farm planning and observed modern agro-technology demonstration along with other officials and guests.
