Vice Minister Qu and Mr. Yevgeny exchanged views on promoting China-Russia agricultural trade and investment, and agreed to accelerate bilateral agricultural cooperation by addressing the concerns of both sides and eliminating restrictive factors as soon as possible.
In meeting with Mr. Patnaik, Vice Minister Qu suggested that China and India facilitate coordination and exchanges under the multilateral frameworks such as WTO and international agencies for food and agriculture. He encouraged closer ties between agricultural scientific institutes of both sides and steady growth of bilateral agricultural trade and investment.

In meeting with Ms. Kadiresan, Vice Minister Qu noted that FAO is welcome to play an active role in the agricultural affairs of BRICS countries. China is willing to work with FAO to push forward South-South Cooperation in areas of food security, food safety, agricultural information technology application, among others.
In meeting with Ms. Menon, Vice Minister Qu referred to a number of topics including small farmers' development, Internet Plus strategy, and training of a new generation of skilled farmers in the age of agricultural transformation in China, and extended his appreciation to IFAD for its support to China's agricultural development.

All participants at the meeting congratulated China on successfully hosting the 7th Meeting of BRICS Ministers of Agriculture and Agrarian Development. They fully agreed with Vice Minister Qu and were willing to boost cooperative relations with China and achieve win-win results in safeguarding agricultural production and food security.
