Vice Minister Qu Dongyu meets Bulgarian Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food

Vice Minister Qu Dongyu met with Mr.Vassil Groudev, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of Bulgaria in Kunming, Yunnan Province on Nov. 5, 2016. The two sides exchanged views on strengthening pragmatic agricultural cooperation in the future.

 

Vice Minister Qu extended warm welcome to Mr.Vassil Groudev for his visit to China and his participation in the Meeting of China-CEEC Ministers of Agriculture and International Forum on Agro-Trade and Economic Cooperation.Vice Minister Qu noted that China and Bulgaria enjoy traditional friendship, and have maintained steady and sound development in the bilateral relations since the establishment of diplomatic ties. The two countries have also witnessed fruitful results in economic and agricultural cooperation.

 

To further the bilateral agricultural cooperation, Vice Minister Qu put forward the following suggestions:

 

(1) Making good use of bilateral and multilateral cooperation mechanisms, including the China-CEEC Agro-trade & Economic Cooperation Forum and the Association for the Promotion of Agricultural Cooperation, to boost the bilateral agricultural cooperation;

 

(2) Promoting the bilateral cooperation in agricultural S&T, particularly in viticulture and grape processing, dairy processing, fruits and vegetables planting and agro-processing;

 

(3) Boosting the bilateral agricultural trade and investment. 
 

Mr.Groudev gave positive response to Vice Minister Qu's suggestions for future cooperation. He expressed that the Bulgarian side is willing to join hands with China to forge ahead and maintain the sound momentum in the bilateral agricultural cooperation.
