China lysine market shows signs of stabilising
Lysine prices were stable to lower during the week ending April 19.
Demand for lysine was stable as feed millers increased stockpiles in preparation for the May Day holidays. Meanwhile, lysine availability tightened as producers limited production, hence helping to stabilise prices in several regions.
Price quotes of 70-percent lysine were at RMB4.40-4.50/kg.
Pre-festive buying in the coming week should lend support to lysine prices in conjunction with lower availability.
RMB1=US$0.1546 (Apr 19)
