Monsanto''s DEKALB corn help US farmers clinch massive victory
US farmers using Monsanto''s DEKALB corn products had won a total 161 awards across six categories during the 2015 National Corn Growers Association''s (NCGA) National Corn Yield Contest.
The wins included first, second and third place awards for the national A No-Till / Strip-Till non-Irrigated Category. At US state level, the farmers achieved 153 awards, including 60 first place, 57 second place and 36 third place wins.
According to Monsanto''s press release, high-performing genetics, industry-leading biotechnology traits and effective management practices helped DEKALB farmers to obtain strong performing results.
"It''s exciting to see farmers achieve these high yields with DEKALB corn products, and we congratulate them for their skill and success," said Dipal Chaudhari, Asgrow DEKALB''s brand manager. "Their strong performance is all the more impressive considering the challenging conditions experienced in many regions of the country this season."
DEKALB winners will be honored at the 2016 Commodity Classic March 3-5 in New Orleans, Louisiana, US, with an awards banquet.
