Syngenta Canada announces winners in ‘Plant the Soybeans, Win the Ride’ NK Genuity Roundup Ready 2 Yield soybean seed contestSyngenta Canada announces winners in ‘Plant the Soybeans, Win the Ride’ NK Genuity Roundup Ready 2 Yield soybean seed contest" title="Share this link on Facebook">Guelph, Ontario, CanadaOctober 27, 2015Growers were entered to win a Yamaha® Viking™ side-by-side vehicle complete with trailerThree winners selected - two from Ontario and one from QuebecSyngenta Canada Inc. recently announced the winners of its ‘Plant the Soybeans, Win the Ride’ contest, awarding three Yamaha Viking side-by-side utility vehicles and trailers to growers that purchased and planted NK® brand Genuity® Roundup Ready 2 Yield® soybean seed.The contest kicked off last fall, and growers who purchased a minimum quantity of new and established NK soybean varieties were eligible to enter. After ordering their varieties, growers were required to plant the soybeans this past spring in order to remain in contention for the prize.When the ballots were drawn, three growers in three districts — from Central Ontario, Southwestern Ontario and Quebec — were selected as winners of the Yamaha Vikings and trailers.Winning growers were awarded their prizes through surprise visits arranged by their local NK seed retailer and Syngenta representative.Dale Sayers is the winner from Southwestern Ontario. He runs Mardale Farms in Dresden, with his son, Jeff. The father and son duo grow soybeans and wheat.Brian Ormiston is the winner from Central Ontario. Ormiston and his son, Terry, grow corn and soybeans on Southview Farms in Courtice. The pair also run a feedlot operation, raising purebred Angus and Charolais cattle.Vincent Coulombe is the winner from Quebec.
