The Ministry of Production pre-published for a 30-day period the regulation on Citizen Participation for the Assessment, Approval and Monitoring of the environmental management tools for fishing and
aquaculture
activities.
This said project can be read by logging on to the Produce official website. People interested can send submit their opinions or comments via email: dgp@produce.gob.pe or deliver them at the Ministry of Production headquarters.
"This initiative is aimed at boosting formal dissemination mechanisms and the participation of the community in decision making, while the environmental impact assessment process on fishing and aquaculture investment projects is underway", indicated the Ministry.
It must be noted the portfolio aims at boosting aquaculture activities in the country as part of the National Plan for Productive Diversification.
