Vice Minister Yu Kangzhen meets Deputy Prime Minister of Turkmenistan

Vice Minister Yu Kangzhen met Annageldi Yazmyradov, the visiting Deputy Prime Minister of Turkmenistan and his delegation in Beijing on May 10, 2014.


The two sides exchanged views on China-Turkmenistan agricultural cooperation and several other important issues.


Yu noted that the two countries have maintained friendly relationships for a long time. The forthcoming "2014 International Akhal-Teke Horses Association Special Conference & China Horse Culture Festival" in Beijing will witness and carry forward traditional friendship between the two peoples, and deepen communication and cooperation in horse industry as well as in other sectors.


Yu reaffirmed that the Chinese side attaches great importance to its partnership with Turkmenistan, and the MOU of China-Turkmenistan Agricultural Cooperation to be signed soon will set up a new platform for closer collaboration in agriculture.


"Under the framework of the MOU, we'd like to promote bilateral cooperation in such areas like crop production, cotton, horse, farm machinery, water-saving irrigation, human resource development, agricultural trade, and so on", Yu said.


Deputy Prime Minister Yazmyradov spoke highly of the excellent preparation of the Chinese side for the Conference, and expressed that Turkmenistan is willing to make joint efforts with China and advance pragmatic cooperation in agriculture. 

 
Rejep Bazarov, Minister of Agriculture of Turkmenistan and other high-level officials attended the meeting.
