Ukraine's grain stocks up 33%
Grain stocks in Ukraine have swelled by 33% year-on-year as of April 1, 2015.
According to the country's State Statistics Service, the increase amounts to 16.2 million tonnes and excludes minor stocks and those at enterprises that store and process grains.
The latest figure includes (other than rye and barley) 5.3 million tonnes of wheat and 8.9 million tonnes of corn.
In addition, grain reserves held by agricultural enterprises were recorded at 8.9 million tonnes as of April 1, or 37% more than a year ago.
Wheat and corn constitute part of the volume, at 2.8 million tonnes and 4.5 million tonnes, respectively.
