To secure your spot in Europe’s key seed event, I invite you to register via this website as of April 1st.Last year, our Annual Meeting took place in Lisbon and saw a record attendance of more than 900 participants, which confirms the importance of this event for seeds men and women from across Europe and beyond. With this year’s beautiful location in Vienna, we hope to repeat to welcome at least as many participants. Vienna will provide even more business and networking opportunities as we now move to a format of 3 full days. Trade and exhibition facilities will provide companies and participants with a buzzling atmosphere for professional exchange and possibilities to showcase latest developments in technical equipment, mechanical components, grain processing technologies and plant breeding software. Participants from all around the world will have the opportunity to meet, discuss and exchange information over three days of intensive business talks.Next to the crop specific meetings of the ESA Sections and our General Assembly with keynote speakers, important policy priorities for the seed sector in 2016 will be discussed: what do we expect from the further debate on new seed legislation? Will Europe’s attitude towards intellectual property rights for our sector or to genetic modification change? What support do we need from public funding for more research and innovation? Moreover, you will receive the latest update on the outcome of the European Parliament elections, the set-up of the new European Commission and the possible consequences for our industry. It is with great pleasure that I invite you to join us in Austria this October - for important policy discussions, for successful trade, and for meeting old friends and new colleagues!
