Adrian Hayler has been appointed Head of Agricultural Business whilst Bob Miles steps down from his full time role as Agricultural Director to concentrate on working as an advisor in developing Elsoms expanded Wheat breeding programme and increasing Oilseed Rape and Vining Pea business.Bob Miles and Adrian Hayler“Over the last three years Bob and Adrian have done an excellent job in significantly increasing the size and scope of our Agricultural portfolio, laying the foundations for us to be a major provider of arable crops to UK farmers in the future,” commented Elsoms Managing Director, Robin Wood. “We are delighted that after 43 years at Elsoms, Bob was keen to help guide the increasing contribution of Agriculture to the overall expansion of the Elsoms business” said Robin.“We are delighted not to be losing Bob,” said Adrian. “He has been instrumental in helping us re-establish Elsoms in the arable sector and his experience and knowledge of plant breeding, farming and the global seed business is priceless”, concluded Adrian.Bob, who turns 65 in March commented, “The last three years have been very exciting as, alongside the establishment of Elsoms Wheat Ltd. we have grown our business in association with key partners such as Saaten Union, Crites, Florimond Desprez and van de Bilt.” Bob added, “I am looking forward to having more free time, but also being able to continue to play a significant role in maintaining the growth of the business.”More news from:.
