Slower price hikes in China lysine market
Lysine prices moved higher during the week ending June 17.
With export demand strong and inventory pressure low, Chinese lysine producers continued to increase price quotes over the week. Nevertheless, prices increased at slower rates as feed millers limited buying in anticipation of a weak hog market during summer.
For imported 98.5-percent lysine, transacted prices increased to the range of RMB11.40-11.90/kg.
The cautious mood of feed millers will put a lid on lysine price hikes in the coming period.
