CPF to build grain terminal with 1.2 million-tonne annual feed capacity
Charoen Pokphand Foods Plc (CPF) is developing its animal-feed operation in Nakorn Ratchasima as a grain terminal in order to benefit from the proximity provided by the corn-producing northeastern provinces.
The terminal, with a storage capacity of 200,000 tonnes, would be the company's biggest integrated feed operation with a capacity to produce 1.2 million tonnes of poultry feed a year.
The project is part of CPF's integrated farm to food processing chicken operation production complex, says Virote Kumpeera, CPF senior vice-president, adding that the advanced technology used in the project will also be used to build more CPF animal-feed plants in both Malaysia and Vietnam.
