Thailand's Betagro Group launches new feed testing facility
Betagro Science Centre, a subsidiary of Thai agribusiness giant Betagro Group, has received investment privilege for a 112 million baht (EUR 2.3 million) feed testing service in Lopburi, Thailand.
The laboratory centre at Lopburi province is a new facility operating under BetagroScience Centre with the same management.
The lab will provide services to affiliates in the group and also external customers located in selected areas.
The testing capabilities are in both chemical and microbiological testing of animal feed, raw materials, raw meat, cooked products and water.
The test items include proximate analysis (protein, fat, fibre and ash), minerals, pesticides, heavy metal, bacterial and yeast and mould counts, COD, BOD, etc.
The lab would support the group as part of its food safety efforts.
Betagro is one of the top pork processors in Thailand.
