India''s poultry feed prices to remain stable

   

   

   

For the next few days, India''s prices of poultry feed products are likely to remain unchanged.

   

   

Aditya Mishra, a commodity expert, said that too much fluctuation in prices of key ingredients kept feed prices unchanged. "We were waiting for the prices to stabilise and feed products may continue to rule without alteration for the next few days," he said.

   

   

In the physical market, soymeal dropped by INR1,400 (US$24) to INR35,600 (US$601) a tonne. Bajra improved further by INR50 (US$0.84) to INR1,600/quintal (US$27), di-calcium phosphate (DCP) quoted at INR35/kilogramme (US$0.59), Meat and Bone Meal (MBM) eased by INR500/quintal (US$8.44) to INR35,000 (US$591) while corn went up by INR150 (US$2.53) to INR15,150/quintal (US$256).

   

   

Mustard de-oiled cake dropped by INR400 (US$6.75) to INR15,100/tonne (US$255), DRB improved by INR600 (US$10) and quoted at INR11,000/tonne (US$186) while rice bran oil went up by INR6 (US$0.10) and ruled at INR54 (US$0.91) per kilogramme (kg).

   

   

After witnessing an uptrend last weekend, poultry feed prices remained unchanged this week. Broiler concentrate feed was at INR2,050 (US$35) for a 50-kg bag while broiler starter mash quoted at INR1,550 (US$26).

   

   

Pre-lay mash was sold at INR1,040 (US$17.55) while layer grower mash quoted at INR980 (US$16.50). Layer concentrate 25% ruled at INR1,490 (US$25) while layer concentrate 35% went for INR1,175 (US$20).

   

   

Meanwhile, a mixed trend was witnessed in the poultry products market, on Wednesday (Jun 26). Egg decreased by INR0.07 (US$0.001) and sold at INR3.18 (US$0.05). Broiler improved by INR8 (US$0.14) and quoted at INR82/kg (US$1.40), while chick went for INR12 (US$0.20), remained unsold.
