USDA said in a report that conditions ratings for the country's corn and soy crops are their best since 1994, Reuters reported.

The agency said that conditions rate for corn crop improved to 76% good to excellent, while soy ratings held steady at 72% good to excellent.

USDA said that corn was entering pollination phase with 34% of the crop "silking", compared to only 15% at the same period of last year and 33% average for the week in the past five years.

About 41% of soybeans were blooming, up from 24% on-year and higher than the five-year average of 37%.
