Gansu's villages rank among China's most beautiful

Gansu province's Tourism Administration has announced that three of its villages have joined the 100 Most Beautiful list for 2014, and five farm areas joined the 140 most beautiful countryside scenes.
The villages are Diaotan in Hezheng county, Zhagana in Diebu county, and Nantai in Linze county, while Yongchang county's rape seed fields got credit as China's Top 10 fields of their kind. Other Top 10 winners are Tiaoshan village, for its pear flower scenery, Zhuanglang county for its Zhaodungou terraced field, and Shandan horse ranch and Quma county's grassland.
China's Agriculture Administration held this campaign as part of its ecological improvements and environmentally friendly agriculture program, where the villages making the list are recommended by the local government and reviewed by experts. The results are also posted online.
