Second Meeting of China-Argentina Joint Commission on Agriculture held in Beijing

The two sides signed theminutes of the meeting and the MOU on horse industry cooperation
Minister Han Changfu and Mr. Carlos Horacio Misaquela, Minister of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries of Argentina co-chaired the 2nd Meeting of China-Argentina Joint Commission on Agriculture in Beijing on November 25, 2014. The two sides reached consensus on deepening bilateral cooperation in all agricultural sectors.
At the meeting, both sides reviewed the development of the bilateral agricultural collaboration over recent years, fully acknowledged the progress made since the 1st Meeting of the Joint Commission on Agriculture in November 2011, and expressed the readiness to advance bilateral agricultural cooperation in an all-round way to enrich the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Argentina.
Focusing on continuing implementing the joint action plan between the two ministries on deepening agricultural cooperation in an all-round way (2012-2017),the two sides had a candid and in-depth discussion on enhancing cooperation in the areas of livestock production, fisheries, agricultural S&T, animal health, seed industry, trade, investment, irrigation and biomass energy, and outlined the priorities and work plan for future cooperation.
After the meeting, the two sides signed the Minutes of the 2nd Meeting of China-Argentina Joint Commission on Agriculture and the MOU between China and Argentina on Horse Industry Cooperation.
Mr. Bi Meijia, Chief Economist and Director-General of the General Office of MOA also attended the meeting.
